You’re planning a Hawaii wedding from across the ocean – maybe California, maybe New York, maybe even another country. You can’t just pop into a shop for a fitting. You’re nervous about ordering a dress online.
I get it. That’s exactly why we built our remote custom process.
Here’s how you can get a made‑to‑measure wedding dress for your Hawaii ceremony without ever stepping foot in our studio – until you arrive for your wedding, of course.
Step 1: Virtual consultation (free, 30 min)
We start with a video call. You’ll show us your inspiration photos, talk about your venue (beach? garden? cliffside?), and share any concerns.
We’ll ask questions like:
- What’s your venue’s vibe? Casual, elegant, boho?
- Will you be walking on sand, grass, or both?
- Do you want to dance? Move easily? Sit comfortably?
By the end of the call, you’ll know exactly which silhouettes and fabrics work best for your body and your wedding.

Step 2: Fabric swatches by mail (free)
We’ll mail you a set of fabric swatches – chiffon, lace, crepe, satin – so you can touch and compare. No guesswork. No “I hope it feels right.”
You’ll also receive a simple measuring guide with a video tutorial. A friend can help you take the measurements at home.
Step 3: Design & sketch
Based on our call and your swatch choices, we’ll create a digital sketch and a 3D mock‑up of your dress. You’ll see the neckline, the back, the train length, the lace placement – everything.
You can request up to two rounds of changes at no extra cost.
Once you approve the design, we’ll ask for a 50% deposit to start production.
Step 4: Production with photo updates (4‑8 weeks)
While your dress is being made, we’ll send you progress photos every two weeks. You’ll see the lace being hand‑sewn, the bodice taking shape, the skirt flowing.
If you have questions at any point, just WhatsApp us. We reply within hours (usually minutes).
Step 5: Final fitting – two options
Option A – In person (best)
Fly in a few days before your wedding, visit our Kailua studio, and try on the finished dress. We’ll make any last‑minute tweaks on the spot.
Option B – Remote (still great)
We ship the dress to you with detailed instructions for a local tailor. We’ll cover up to $100 of alteration costs (minor hem or strap adjustments). You send us photos or a video, and we guide you via video call.
How long does the whole process take?
| Step | Time |
|---|---|
| Virtual consult + design | 1‑2 weeks |
| Fabric swatches by mail | 3‑7 days |
| Production | 4‑8 weeks |
| Final fitting & shipping | 1‑2 weeks |
Total: 6‑12 weeks – so start at least 3‑4 months before your wedding.
What if the dress doesn’t fit perfectly?
We’re confident in our measurements, but mistakes happen. If the dress is off by more than 1 inch from your provided measurements, we’ll remake it at no cost (see our full Return & Refund Policy).
Small adjustments (like hem length or strap tightness) are normal and easy for any tailor.
Real bride story
Megan lived in Seattle. She found us on Instagram and booked a virtual consult. We mailed her swatches, she took her measurements with her mom’s help, and 10 weeks later her dress arrived.
“I cried when I opened the box,” she wrote us. “It was even more beautiful than the sketch. And it fit like a glove – no alterations needed.”
